Many of you will have heard about the Mirboo North Italian Festa which is celebrated annually in Feburary. The festa dates back over 50 years when a group of Italian immigrants arrived in Mirboo North. This group commissioned a statue of St Paul, the patron saint of their hometown Solarino in Sicily, and had it shipped to Australia. The statues arrival was celebrated with the first St Paul’s Festival in 1966. The festival has evolved over time and is now the Mirboo North Italian Festa, attracting thousands of visitors to the town each year.
In 2019, the Boo Events team are excited that we have been invited to collaborate with the Festa committee and manage the market for the event! What an honour!
We will source beautiful creators, makers and artisians to provide quality products to market goers, all while celebrating the Italian theme.
